I really want to find a fantasy roleplay group. Now I'm not one for roleplay, infact I pretty much dislike it, however I want to try something new. I think I just don't like online roleplaying or text roleplay, I can't do it. Live action roleplaying has always sounded more enjoyable. Especially the fighting aspect, even if it looks a little stupid. Alas there's little to nothing until the end of the year that's in person.
There was a play for spamalot play, which is just a theatre play for Monty Python and the Holy Grail but I couldn't go since I am kind of broke. Medieval times is 5 hours away (and too expensive anyways), Renfest doesn't open until October... Worst time to get fixated on this. There are defintely groups and places to go but it's all too far, too much money or not worth it to me.
However, I did look up groups to join, but a lot of them are far from me. I'm talking an hour or more. There is a group called Hynafol which seems to be worth looking into more. It has guilds and seemingly a castle or some place they all gather. I dorked out hard seeing guilds... I want to be a mage of some kind so so so so so badly.
